The gradual change in shape of the jaw from juvenile to adult can be seen to some extent in this photograph, with the longer and relatively more pointed skull of the larger animal on the right. This ontological change from a blunt, rounded juvenile head to a relatively much longer adult head is characteristic of all crocodilian species.
