Small, mainstream billabong with nets
The McKinlay mainstream dries out during the dry season, but there are still numerous small isolated pools remaining. These pools may still harbour decent populations of crocodiles, and this particular pool housed at least 15 crocodiles. Unfortunately we weren't able to catch them all due to the extensive dead vegetation present in the water that made the nets very difficult to operate. You can see the floats of a drop net in the water. The object of the exercise is to tempt the crocodiles into the nets, then catch them and pull them out.
