Crocodylus palustris

The heavy nature of the Mugger head is evident from this picture. Despite it's rather intimidating name, the Mugger (more usefully called the Swamp or Marsh crocodile) has a relatively innocuous disposition and people can be found freely walking between the crocodiles in the sacred Mugger pit in India, apparently without incident.
