Alligator mississippiensis

Several sub-adults floating in a group, a common sight on crocodile farms. Such densities would not be seen under natural conditions, although juvenile animals remain together for at least the first year of their life. Despite their dark colouration, light markings around the eyes and the jaws are characteristic of this species.
